If you’re a fan of green markets – for local produce, baked goods, plants and crafts. Here are some of my local favorites:
Saturdays: Port St. Lucie Civic Center and Fort Pierce at the downtown marina
Sundays: Tradition! This is a new addition for those of us on the West side of town. Every Sunday from 10 to 3. I can’t wait to try it out.
FYI – great places to shop for gifts or sample local foods. However – for those of you who hail from elsewhere – summer is not a growing season in South Florida. Scorching sun and frequent rains are not healthy for most crops and flowers (though I think okra and sweet potatoes do okay). On the plus side, we DO have 3 growing seasons for food plants – Fall, Winter, and Spring.
