90 Year Old Lyric Theatre at Night
The Lyric Theatre in Downtown Stuart re-opens tonight after a 5 month re-modeling to improve acoustics, comfort, and strengthen the existing structure. The opening features Lorianna Colozzo’s “A Night at the Opera.” Upcoming acts throughout the 2014-2015 season include many hit bands, theater, and musical theater. Ticket prices are very reasonable. Check out the offerings at: http://www.lyrictheatre.com.
Located on Flagler Street in the historic downtown district, there is so much to see and do before or after a performance, with waterfront restaurants and interesting boutiques and art galleries. The riverwalk boardwalk is one of my favorite places to stroll on a sunny afternoon, with grand views.
I am so excited for the upcoming season here on the Treasure Coast. From Vero Beach to Fort Pierce to Jensen Beach and Stuart there is a wide variety of entertainment and shopping. The local green markets are producing more locally grown edibles now that our growing season has kicked into gear, including a new one on Saturday afternoons at the Treasure Coast Square Mall. This is in addition to Sunday afternoon at the Stuart City Hall and Tradition Square, Saturday mornings and Wednesday afternoons at the downtown Fort Pierce waterfront, and Saturday mornings in Port St. Lucie at the Civic Center on US 1. Mmm, farm-to-table goodness.
Well, I’d better brush the cat fur off my evening wear and get ready for a wonderful evening. Hope to see you tonight at the Lyric!
